Coronavirus Update: Pubs, Cafe’s And Restaurants Opening But No Gigs Yet

After over three months of lockdown, Hartlepool’s hospitality sector, including pubs, restaurants and cafe’s are set to re-open on 4th July following the Governments easing of the social distancing restrictions. However, live music, open mic’s and karaokes are still classed as ‘too high a risk’ for the time being, according to the BBC. The easing of restrictions comes as a cautious welcome as pubs, restaurants and cafe’s prepare to open their doors with precautions in place to prevent Coronavirus spreading again. Live music is expected to gradually return to venues during the autumn depending on the continuation of the reduction of COVID-19 cases.
